Fabric resident Anna Wall and production partner Corbi link up again for the first time since their debut EP 'DATs In The Attic' dropped on Ritual Poison in 2019. Between then, Anna has gone on to release music on her own label Dream Theory and turned in a gorgeous deep cut for music platform 22 tracks' final send off before closing. Corbi has been no stranger to production either, heading up important label Fina records and releasing stand-out EPs on Rough Recordings & Kouncil Cuts. The pairing bring their newfound knowledge to LTWHT, shape shifting between colorful displays of breakbeat and melodic perfume. Ahead of the release, Anna & Corbi spoke of their love of digging into the past, delving into old techno and rave records and inspired by artists like LFO. While the influences are apparent their sound remains unique, contemporary and flourishing with personality.Title track 'Persistence' opens with choppy breakbeats and deep subs, adding extra depth and weight; providing the perfect base for the record's shimmering synth lines. 'Consciousness' then conjures wide-eyed atmospherics, joining hands with a soothing, deep bassline and diamond shaped arpeggio. 'I'm just changing consciousness' is gently spoken as the track ebbs and flows across the oceans moon-lit surface.Subtly euphoric and inherently introspective, B side opener 'Take A Moment' shows a developing side to the pair's growing sonic palette. Early trance meets breakbeat, in an emotive display of otherworldly electronics and primordial whispers. The tracks bassline and lead add an extra layer of playfulness, turning the track from a cerebral workout to a blissful dance around an open flame. The record comes to a close with 'Regardless' an acid inspired dream that unfolds amongst a backdrop of clouded pads and intoxicating patterns.
Another holy grail from the catalogue of SOUNDS. in the rebound. Billy Nightmare aka Mystic Bill - Reality Check from 1996.Recorded from original DAT, re-mastered and back on vinyl August.
We are glad to welcome the Italian veteran A.T. aka Ivan Iacobucci in our crew! This 3 tracker EP is a journey into the deep and hypnotic side of House and Techno.“Overseas” is a gritty jam for the dancefloor, while on B side two versions of “Bluephonic” explore a more atmospheric, trippy but yet groovy sound.
Just Jack Recordings return with a varied EP, from their good friend Ian Blevins. Three original tracks, which vary from Detroit dance floor weapons to dreamy left field house, and are backed backed up by a gritty dance floor workout from Secretsundaze... a pair of gentlemen who need no introduction! They pull out all the stops on their first ever remix....this one bangs!
The producer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and label head from Bogota´, Colombia is nothing short of a phenomenon, effortlessly fusing complex sound combinations from Jazz samples to flowing pianos and acid basslines into hugely exciting and unique house records. He delivers his new EP “Superimposition”, released on French label Noire & Blanche in May 2022. An eclectic collection of solid deep house club burners (Ventana Al Tiempo, Inherently Deep), acid breakbeats (Superimposition) and soft afterhours hip-hop downer (Feeling All Over It).Gordon’s ability to blend complex jazz instrumentation with acid-licked basslines, golden-age house aesthetics and the cultural sounds of South America is unrivalled; creating a distinctive and beautiful EP.
After being marooned in a small beach town in Brazil at the start of the pandemic, California-born Gene On Earth eventually made it home to Berlin. As the reality of the global situation sunk in, he set to work on his second album, working in an obsessive daily rhythm. After gathering an arsenal of samples and inspiration he returned to the studio for 5 months of feverish work. Set for release on June 3rd via his own imprint Limousine Dream, ‘Time on The Vine’ is a slick record delivered with the laid-back warmth of a producer at the top of his game. Breezy yet assured, its wonky minimal rhythms are as feel good as they are fun, a perfect antidote to the long and waning pandemic that birthed them.
