A decade has now passed since Discrete Circuit launched the AWAY party and label in Berlin, hence this celebratory compilation featuring previously unheard cuts from label regulars and – perhaps more significantly – some very high-profile guests. Highlights from those in the latter category include the low-slung house haziness of Moodymann (the fabulous ‘No’), the piano-smothered deep house positivity of Move D (‘The Garden’), the ghostly techno-not-techno of Axel Boman (the nostalgic, warehouse-ready hypnotism of ‘Lucky Luke’) and the stomping techno intensity of Mark Broom (‘Ain’t No Thang’).
