Locked-In is back with a fifth voyage with a four-track odyssey from Benjamin.

Spacious and airy, "Floating" starts the EP with tasteful elegance. Softly interwoven atop a driving kick, Floating takes you on a heady trip through the astral planes of your next summer.

Benjamin turns things up a notch with this groovy slammer, "Deep Trails". A meaty kick and juicy padded-out bass line give the listener something to get their teeth into, whilst the track's snappy percussion provides a playfulness that no dancer can resist.

There's interstellar lift-off when the growling engines of the aptly named "Smashed Star" hit the dance floor. A significant low-end and flirty rhythm section drives the track forward with a momentous entourage of squashed synth patterns and nostalgic sample loops. Strap yourselves in; the only way is up!

"Cosmic Medicine" cools off EP with a horizontal closing that tickles the weary traveller's mind into its deserved bodily rest. Strommesque whistles and twists go through the sumptuous haze of misunderstood vocals and compressed, weighty bass lines. Take a seat and breathe in the light: Your place or mine?

Industrious Polish DJ, producer and live performer Szafran is summoned to Thabo's Berlin-based house imprint Home Again, debuting a new alias and sound in his arsenal as he reaches the spaces between house, breakbeat and acid house. The label's third release, Thabo grabs revered Parisian producer Leo Pol for a killer remix.Previously releasing and performing as Oskar Szafraniec, he broke through under the mentorship of acid house legend A Guy Called Gerald, touring extensively together and developing his live show. His releases have come through notable labels Rawax, Deset and Cyclo, while collaborations with heavyweights Ricardo Villalobos and Pier Bucci brought more discerning ears, and basing himself in Berlin ensured that he'd play across the city's hallowed haunts, including Club der Visionaere, Watergate, Tresor and Salon zur Wilden Renate."After eight years in Berlin, I relocated to Croatia's Dalmatian coast last year. There was the enforced break from touring, but I also took a break from producing. I wanted to step back and find new inspirations. I was listening to a lot of Warp Records, feeling hugely inspired by the melodies in Aphex Twin and Squarepusher's '90s releases. My musical direction changed and I wanted to present these influences with my own touch. I feel my music is more emotive through the way I'm contrasting analogue, digital and organic elements and I hope people feel that." - SzafranPacking punch and propulsion in equal measure is 'It's Just A Feeling', a striking, emotive track that cuts through with the sonic signature of the Roland TB 303. Prolific mastermind Leo Pol picks up the pace, giving the track a rerub with all the bang and bustle to vitalise a dancefloor. Prodigious outing 'You Don't Know' enters the field full of vigor with the breakbeat drum loops and 4 X 4 kick drum sequences giving it a propulsive, rousing pace, while 'Infuse' reaches through and closes the EP with a laidback flex.Artwork by Ken Hanamura
Garage Hermétique bids farewell to the music studio where many seeds were planted between 2016 and 2020, including Onirik's solo projects and collaborations. Hidden under the Schlesicher Tor underground station, it was a chaotic but special place. This release contains a number of tracks recorded at the beloved location, with different aesthetics, seeking a balance between positive and mysterious vibes. On A1 and B1 we find two tracks from the collaborative project Oni-KI. On A2 we find a west coast infused joint recorded with jazz pianist (and ex-Flatmate) Uri Gincel. The Ep is rounded off on B2 with a solo production by Onirik, aimed at potential mind relaxation. Good Bye Schlesi. Ltd pressing of 150 copies

The second part of Sushitech's three-part vinyl-only series looking at the work of Dexter is another 12" doozy. They were recorded between 1997-2004 and if you can find any OGs then you will be paying upwards of 100 quid for them.
