Any discerning deep house heads will be familiar with Yossi Amoyal's work as the head of the cultured Sushitech label, and now he steps out with a new imprint, Endell Street, alongside co-founder Nils Hess. This one is named after a busy thoroughfare in the heart of London that was home to the Eukatech record store and will be focussed on reissues of work from the Eukahouse archives. First up we some prime tech house from genre pioneer Nathan Coles who serves up a kicking and unreleased mix of the Housey Doingz classic 'Kitchen Spasm'. Then comes a garage-tinged bumper in the form of Soggy Plop's 'Hairy Scary' (Get Fucked remix) and last of all, Flunky's 'Love Song' brings low-slung sleaze.

Edward delivers his latest collection of works, the ‘Eddie Green’ EP via Smallville Records this July, comprised of four originals. For the past decade and a half, Frankfurt-original Gilles Aiken, better known to most as simply, Edward, has beenunveiling his productions regularly via the likes of his most regular home Giegling, but also Baby Ford & Eon’sTrelik, White, Die Orakel or DFA, plus teaming up with Ricardo Villalobos in 2020 for their Disordered RhythmMetronomy project on Perlon. Here though, we see Edward mark his debut for Smallville Records, a fitting homefor his deep, dynamic and hypnotic style which regularly blurs the lines of House, Techno and beyond.Up first is ‘Primal Dream’, a raw and reduced journey through modulating synth flutters, squeaky percussivetwitches and a bumpy, robust rhythm section. ‘Blue Glue’ follows and diverges into a more mystical sonic worldwith haunting chants, resonant synth licks, meditative chimes and ethereal textures intertwined with crisp, crunchydrums.Title-track ‘Eddie Green’ opens the B-side, embracing a more dubbed out, deep techno aesthetic via murky chordswells, clattering organic percussion, throbbing low end pulsations and vocoded spoken word vocal lines. Theaptly title ‘So Slow’ then rounds out the release, dropping the tempo and shifting focus Edward’s more jazz-tingedinfluences with wandering piano melodies and soulful vocal chants uttering the track’s title, underpinned byshuffled drums and waves of sporadic oscillating synth.
Bari-based producer Frhanks visits Bucharest via Chicago on this organic and entirely distinctive EP for Lisbon label Welt Discos. ‘Bonus Beat’ is a raw blend of jazz and jack trax that leaps straight out of the Music Box to slap you round the face. The extended meditation of ‘Spring’ adorns a minimal groove with delicately plucked improvisation, striking a pastoral mood for the first glimmers of daylight. On the flip, ‘When Is Time To Go Home’ trips along like a late morning walk back to the tent, caught somewhere reassuring between reverence and whimsy.

Oslo collective Det Gode Selskab continue to expand on their artillery of refined club leaning music this summer as they invite Dutch artist Shakèd to the table. His versatile sound in the past decade, has led to his productions continuously evolving reaching this pinnacle point where he manages to construct a blend of distinct atmospheres tilting in sleek minimalistic direction. Stripped back sophistication throughout as the prolific artist shares the “Space Invader” EP.EP opener “Right Nothing” leads the way as it meanders between hypnotic textures and tight plucky drums. The elasticated bass line is the driving force of the track, as intricately arranged twisted bleeps wander in the haze of the night. The title track “Space Invader” is a futuristic blend of robotic movements, pensive vocoders and classic minimal energy. A masterfully arranged body of work to take the dance floor on a trip. Closing out the A side is “Space Invader (Earth Landing), an intermission from another galaxy, with a winding bass simmering on the surface.Still lurking in the realms of the darkness is “14143”, a progressive outing with a pulsating bass, and alien-like communications. Another otherworldly outing that lands you directly in underground rave territory. A quirky noughties house vibe in the final “Whatever”, punchy yet still pleasantly dusty drums tease you into the final lap. An enormous party-starting beat as the EP comes to an end. Making this a four out of four package for your record bag for various times of the night, and locations. The DGS label and events have built a solid foundation over the years for their passion and driven energy, curating a label that never shies from straining boundaries, and all inclusive parties in off kilter locations.
