Ring Ring Ring! The dawn of a fresh day brings a new release near. Squid Recordings inks its way into existence with a heavy foot on rave Americana.With releases on Rush Hour, Velocity and his own Nylon Recordings, James ‘Nylon’ Thomas sees his Nylosphere project reborn, remastered and retouched (over two decades later) for the modern world.The two widely varying title tracks, backed with equally contrasting mixes, are a microcosm of what late 90s, American-made dance music embodied. That is, a web of genre hopping maximalism, analog driven punchiness and a beautiful uncertainty to a post millennia world.

The Trails label appeared as a natural continuation of the crew’s parties. By joining minds with select producers they aim to showcase pieces that capture their collective vision of electronic music.On TRAILS001, they bring us their close friend and graphic designer Bogdan Năstase going by the alias DJ Bogdan. As a reflection of the label’s philosophy and taste, the EP presents themes of melancholy, introspection, mystery and hope, all wrapped in a sound aesthetic reminiscent of 2000’s electro-techno with a touch of synth-pop. Shade Detector kicks off the A side with enough energy to entice crowds during those peak hours of the night. Next up comes the title track, Freakshow Parallax, a melancholic piece for the after- hours. Moving on to the B side we find Videofreex. This one’s a creative and flexible tune suitable at any point of the party. We wrap up with Fântâna Carteziană, a wonderfully twisted minimal techno track that pays homage to a lost period of Bucharest’s history.

Audio Werner, a key figure in Germany's electronic music scene known for many refined productions on labels like Perlon, Sushitech and Hartchef Discos, returns with his long-awaited album 'Soul' on Raresh's Metereze label. This double-vinyl release features his finest selections from 2015 to 2020—meticulously refined jam sessions from his Berlin studio, carefully selected by both Werner and Raresh.Adding a personal touch, the album's cover art is a handcrafted illustration by artist and longtime friend of Werner, Melanie Kasper. Her detailed artwork perfectly enhances the album's dedication to detail and refinement.

After LMURWAX001 – the 'Half Past Century EP' – which featured a remix by tRicMast (Ricardo Villalobos & Tripmastaz), Santos returns with the second vinyl release on his label, Let Me Understand Records. The 'Second Wave EP' presents four tracks, each exploring different styles.On Side A, the first track, 'Nziscira', delivers a fast-paced, minimalistic beat with floating chords and a poetic solo. 'Dumbeat' starts with a dark breakbeat, transitioning into a 4/4 kickdrum accompanied by a modulated pad and ethnic-inspired sounds, topped off with a subtle vocal that brings a funkier groove.Side B opens with 'Venus Gala', a modern funk track rooted in 70s sounds, blending Moog, guitars, a Juno 60, and a Fender Rhodes jam.
