Totally dancefloor oriented and designed to make you lose track of time through a mix of energetic and atmospheric futuristic techno and trance with a tribal twist. Fletcher and Steve O'Sullivan have often worked or appeared together in the past so it makes sense that the former now invites the latter to be the first person to release on his newly minted and always sure to be worth checking Social Currency imprint. They take the reins together across floor-focussed cuts that are marbled with deep pads and introspective sounds. 'Cold Calling Blues' is warm and airy with smoky vocal sounds and precision dub techno drum loops, 'Midnight At 1:30' hits a little harder but is still zoned out and serene and 'Shatner's Groove' takes on subtle deep space moods with deft pads and spoken word additions.

Picasso has been going from strength to strength in recent years and his debut on NorthSouth represents another side to his ever evolving sound. Opening up the EP is Robbie Growler, a tried and tested dancefloor ripper, drums with an infectious groove and THAT bassline, this ones destined for those big 3am moments. Next up is Superstylin’ Glidin’ - bouncier in nature, the arpeggiating bass and melodies have this one suited perfect for both earlier or later in the night when the crowd needs a little lift. On the flip side we open up with Bounce 2 It! Those familiar with Picasso’s sound of late may feel a strong affinity with this one, dubby, housey & hazy. The EP is rounded out with Sixth Sense, on a similar tip to the track before, this is one for those deeper moments, warm, lush pads and smoky groove - close your eyes and nod away!

These tracks were taken from the album ‘Head’s Above Water’. Over the last one and half years, we have been on a journey to record this album. A journey that has enabled us to discover more about ourselves, our surroundings, our desires, and our fears.
