After a three-year hiatus, Yuko is back with a fresh release. The new offering features a vibrant mix, including two tracks from co-founder Emi Omar, one of which is a collaboration with Luje from Club Pizza. To complete the lineup, the label introduces two exciting new French talents: Chud and Vivant.

Almost exactly a year since since ‘Felt Cute’ debuted on Kalahari and Blu:sh is back in the building. But this time around, it’s with a record evoking the muggy closeness of a dancefloor suspended somewhere between peak-time elation and wide-eyed vision quest. Tweaking the blueprint to rapturous ends, the latest offering from this Blu:sh project propels itself forward with a muscle-bound groove. Six robust, deadly club trax replicate the breathy seduction of its predecessor, but this time, with added velocity. Pinky Promise is full frontal and deadly while channelled through the same explorative prism characterising Benoit’s best work. Probably the toughest material the prolific shapeshifter has put out to date. Nods to Eurocentric styles shine through with particular emphasis on the sexy and trance-inducing. It goes straight out the traps with a big dose of fractal fuel and stays murkily psychedelic to the very end.

In 1990, in an otherwise typical, provincial small town of Bracknell, located at the outer reaches of West London suburbia, a now infamous weekly Sunday night party ‘Shave Yer Tongue’ took place for the first time which played host to the likes of luminaries of the field of DJing such as Alfredo and Andrew Weatherall. On this musical outing by two founders of the party, Scott James & Christopher Hayne, under the guise of SYT in 1995 - we have the aptly titled Deep Drift EP: four driving, tasteful Progressive House & Trance cuts that are as equally likely to open a wormhole in space and time as they are to move a dancefloor to interdimensional bliss.

Manchester via ten years in Berlin and now residing near the city of Porto in Portugal – prolific house DJ and producer SY joins the Slump Recordings family for the eighth escapade; a trip through progressive, groovy house music – two tracks that encompass the core ethos, cheekiness and nostalgia of the label. Bolstered with a stunning, balearic twist, Baldo reworks the A-side with a percussive pulse and hypnotic groove. B-side ‘Perceptions’ receives a London-centric remix from the label’s owner Baby Rollén – switching the flow of metric beats with syncopated breakbeats and wriggly acid leads!
