Physical Education present their first release of 2025, Metamorphosis from SY. Originally from Manchester and now based in Portugal after years in Berlin, SY’s seasoned craft materialises in his groovy, housey tracks with old school rave and progressive house touches.

Side A opens with the energy inducing ‘Beyond Expectations’, translated also into ‘Warehouse 92’. On Side B, the richly textured, retro-leaning, and irresistibly danceable ‘Metamorphosis’ creates a solid footing for Paolo Mosca’s remix, which closes the record.

Metamorphosis comes in exciting time for SY, who has a forthcoming EP slated for release on Slump and continues to lead his own imprint, E&X Records.

ER gladly welcomes Juan Barraco aka Bunda to our catalog. Bunda is an Uruguayan producer/live performer who’s been linked to music since a young age through a classical approach with a later interest into electronic music production.Origen EP is his debut vinyl release delivering a solid four-tracks record: dancefloor-oriented pieces on each side’s first half and two downtempo tracks as second choices.A1 ‘No hay salida’ is a proper dancefloor piece featuring a stomper and sticky kick drum along with a non-stop bassline hypnotic pulse. A2 ‘9º Mandamiento’ features a different sound landscape with a hint of Arabic melodies in synths and basslines programming. On the flip side B1 ‘Stardust’ crafts a more sci-fi-bleepy grooving Techno sound while keeping an hypnotical atmosphere all along. Bunda shows a different facet in B2 with ‘Xep Nuit’, where he shows his skills and creativity in musical composition and sound picking.
When DJ Life gives you lemons, press ‘em on vinyl. 4 zesty tech house nuggets bringing the swing and vitality in a big way. Keeping it widescreen throughout and the percussion pulls focus. At times slick and sultry, at others more ominous and ill-tempered, we’re dishing out high-velocity dynamics across four distinct trax. Constantly nudging towards the peak-time, but with plenty of breathy sensuality and dappled melody as he flexes a detailed, sound-sensitive approach.
SlapFunk return to the world of phonographic recordings with a mini album split into two ep’s from the highly regarded Tommy Vicari Jnr.Hailing from the steel city of Sheffield he forged a new bond with the label after a standout DJ set at one of the famous SlapFunk parties and then delivered 8 solid tracks to work the speaker stacks. Even with a minimal approach to the main ingredients in the productions, the results have been creating maximum impact on the dance floor, fully road tested at some of the best parties and festivals. Deep, moody, glitched out grooves collide with warehouse box jams that will soon get you throwing some serious shapes. We are thrilled to have such a talent appear on our label and are very excited to present to you this dynamite double disc release. soft pads that will make you close your eyes and dive into intense reflections.
New US label Squid launches into the New Year with some effortlessly catchy and funky house sounds courtesy of Mr Liquid here. Liquid Earth Presents Mr Liquid is an EP that takes in breaks, tech and tripped out techno all at once. 'The Bug Collector' is a real standout with its phased basslines and puling drums overlaid with some nice prog chords. 'The Wind Up' is a lively and unbalanced rhythm with big hits and icy hi hats tied together by squelchy bass and elsewhere 'Funk Patrol' keeps it wild and loose and 'Beat Girl Beat Boy' is another off-kilter and unique house sound.

More classic sounding early 90's housegrooves by Bohm on the follow up for Land of Lost.
