Zonate returns with its fourth release, The Areca EP, showcasing the unmistakable sound of Italian producer Shkedul. A name that’s caught the attention of top touring DJs, Shkedul brings a signature touch to each track - distinct, striking, and built to stand apart.

The A-side kicks off with Channel Z, a statement piece blending searing electro, a punchy kick, and haunting vocals - an instant head-turner. Following up, Discodancer leans into a driving techno groove, laced with acid lines and a bass built to shake big systems. Flipping to the B-side, Nothing Changes delivers a hypnotic techno tool, weaving between emotional pads and eerie leads, all carried by a relentless 4/4 pulse. Enrico Vivaldi steps in for the remix, reshaping the original into a more progressive, groove-infused vision, complete with intelligent vocal work and a slow-building intensity. With both Shkedul and Enrico Vivaldi gearing up for an exciting year of releases and gigs, The Areca EP cements their place as ones to watch.

naive's 20th release epitomizes what the Lisbon-based label, run by Violet, has become cherished for: imaginative yet timeless, soothing yet moody, melodic yet sonic music. Entitled 'Computer Hermetics', this new record is an EP by UrbnMowgli, a fairly new Berlin-based artist who began releasing music in 2020. The opening track, 'Fast Love Life', is a 145 bpm electro-bred, breakbeat-driven emotive dancefloor banger. It features menacing stabs juxtaposed with beautiful pads and acid-drenched arpeggio motifs that lend it a oneiric quality. 'Oracle Algorithm' picks up the 303 spirit and delves into trippier territories, densening the dreamlike, expansive atmosphere while infusing the record with electro-driven grit. Closing side A is 'Warschauer Rush-Hour', a futuristik, high-tempo twisted electro banger that's both tough and playful. 'Immaterial Desires' inaugurates side B--an ode to adventurous drum programming and intricate sound design in the form of a percussion-punctuated curveball belter. 'Digital Dawn' brings it all back home to the heart and closes the record with its deepest, most immersive moment, giving us big bass lines that alchemically converse with angelic bleepy melodies as if soundtracking a soulful sci fi movie that doesn't exist yet.
Leeds label 20/20 Vision continues its Full Circle 30-year celebrations with a tasteful series of classic record reissues, all of which are sounds that have been pivotal to its legacy. Wulf n Bear's 'Raptures of the Deep' is up next and was first recorded in 1995 at Hopefield Farm studio and went on to help establish 20/20 Vision on the global stage. Garnering praise from Detroit and Chicago legends like Stacey Pullen and Derrick Carter, it is considered one of the first tech-house records and blends Detroit techno with house beats anyone who has heard Ralph Lawson and Huggy play will recognise. This edition includes remastered tracks, original artwork, a rare dub version plus the best bit - Craig Richards' remix.
For the upcoming instalment of 'Abstrack Future,' Diskorrekt co-founder and label head Cape has brought together four of the most prolific Latin American producers for a 'various artists' compilation. Totally dancefloor oriented and designed to make you lose track of time through a mix of energetic and atmospheric futuristic techno and trance with a tribal twist. Connecting the past with the present will not let you unveil the future. We would like to present Two Phase U, Manuk, C.ru.Z and Mat Roz all together in this unforgettable compilation that you won't take out of your dj dag for a long time.
Viewtiful Joe (Casa Voyager, mindcolormusic, Fundamental) continues his run of sublime electro EPs with this joyful 5-tracker for Welt Discos. Futuristic in sound yet harking back to the heyday of breakdance in the early-to-mid 80s, these battle-ready boogie jams explode with wiggly slap bass, soaring pop melodies and the funk to make you jump. Lock in and freak out!
In the shadows of ‘Chungking Mansions’, stories linger like ghosts. A labyrinth of lives and secrets, a place where worlds meet, and everything feels possible — a tribute to Hong Kong’s hidden heartbeat.Charonne is back on their very own imprint with a new four-tracker. Trying to make it raw, focusing on a few elements to hit that sweet spot.Simplicity in its purest form, with groove in mind, always.
