Cedofeita Records, an independent label based in Porto, proudly presents its latest release, CDFT003. This limited edition of 100 hand-numbered vinyl records features four exclusive tracks from both emerging and established artists, showcasing the creative diversity of underground electronic musicians currently living in Northern Portugal.
From the weighty low-end pressure and muted vocals of Bruno & Rompante’s “Save Us” to the shimmering, percussive glide of Rowan’s “Nu Age”, the A-side locks into a focused, club-minded pace. Carpet & Snares boss Jorge Caiado is back under a new Caiado LDA alias with two tracks originally commissioned by Thomas Melchior for his My King Is Light project, now released through the Carpet/Patterns sublabel.Both sides strike a philosophical, almost spiritual tone, but for quite different ends. Pedro Goya returns for his second EP on Carpet & Snares with four cuts of electro-disco. ‘Bosac’ and ‘Dopalow’ make up the lean and mean A side, matching Chicago drums with italo arpeggiators and moody pads. Pedro turns up the funk on the B side with the French house swagger of ‘Paean’ before the bittersweet acid and deep bassline of the closing track, a memorial to his beloved dog ‘Nikita’.
Cedofeita Records returns with CDFT004, a limited run of 150 numbered 12”s cut for DJs who like their recordsto do the work: five tracks across house, electro and breaks, sequenced with a clean sense of tension andrelease. Based in Porto, the label stays close to a simple rule — not where artists are from, but where the workhappens. These tracks were written and shaped while the artists were living in the North of Portugal, tied intothe local circuit and its night-time pace.Miguel Rendeiro opens with “Love Me Too” — direct, fast and warm at the bottom end. Mike Morales followswith “Outta Shine”, modern and controlled, built on crisp rhythm and a steady forward push. On the flip, Bruno,Erp & Rompante hit heavier with “Parking Place” — bold stabs, sampling grit, room-holding weight. SectorRelay shifts the colour with “Social Distortion”, stripped electro pressure for late hours. Tasc’oTau feat. JoãoPedro Dias closes with “Magnificent City” — liquid break swing and soft detail, a final chapter that resets theroom without losing the thread.
