Running Hot’s eponymous new label is finally here. Kicking things off with 'Bad For The Body, Good For The Soul', four brand new dancefloor-ready cuts from the man himself ready for some heavy rotation this summer. “Local Dealer” gets us started with rattling percussion, moody strings and vocal cuts reminiscent of some forgotten 90s NY classic before “Doggo’s Groove” heads into slicker disco-fueled territory to complete the A-side. Flip things over for “Hippy Disco”, a peak time filter house inspired big room roller, before “Cali” doffs the cap to the smooth sound of early 2000s San Francisco.

Running Back celebrates the history of Frankfurt's legendary Wild Pitch Club with this first of two parts of its eye-opening compilation. Both of the two 2 x 12" collections invites Playhouse man and club co-founder Ava alongside Panorama Bar's very own nd_baumecker to do the curation. The venue was a place to hear the very freshest US house sounds in the face of what was a fast emerging techno take over. That is represented here with an authentic snapshot of the club's vibe across a superb series of cuts. A real bit of European house history this, for sure.
