We’re excited to introduce SlapCutz Records, a brand-new label dedicated to sharing timeless music. This vinyl-only project is all about uncovering forgotten gems and spotlighting rare edits by our curators.

For our first release, we’re throwing it back to 2000/2001 with a truly special record: Darksky EP by the legendary Amos Bellot, better known as SkyJoose. Around this time, the UK Garage sound started to evolve, taking on darker tones that eventually paved the way for Grime, and this record is a prime example of that transition.

SkyJoose, aka the infamous Mr. Boskoff, is a true pioneer in the game. His influence runs deep across Jungle, 2step, Garage, and beyond. With over 10,000 productions since 1989, and still going strong, his impact on UK Bass music is undeniable.

The Darksky EP remains one of his most sought-after releases, and we couldn’t be prouder to make this gem available again in 2024.

Remastered reissue of the second landmark EP for Plus 8 Records by Speedy J.
