Communique Records U..S.A. is re-issuing Ralph Laurenn - Proper Etuquette from 1997 on the sublabel called Party Rock.
New artist Nick Fasoli proudly presents the debut release for his fledgling label Freaking Tricks. Uncompromising rhythms and standout vocals contrive to make this a very memorable beginning.
The always-sophisticated Vick Lavender is a deep house innovator with a soulful and spiritual sound that is never short of genuine musicality. He proves that once more here with a fresh 12" for Mister Bear that opens with the jazzy piano keys of 'Move' soon taking you into a playful world of cosmic synths. 'Change' is another one drenched in astral synth lines over dancing drum patterns and 'Daylight' then melts the heart with its brilliantly soulful vocals and skipping drum beats. This classy EP shuts down with a Latin-flavoured sound on 'Somebodies Samba'.
ERROR105 comes from Marseille based producer Magic Doz.Being no stranger to System Error having already been featured on Party Bombs Vol. 1 followed by this year's release of his debut album on his own label Luzerna Records titled “Dynasty of Dreams - Brotherhood Of The Dragon’s Sword”.Now we are finally ready to announce his debut release on System Error's ERROR100 Series which we’ve been sitting on for a while already. Some of you will recognise the tracks already for everyone else you are in for a treat! An energetic and rave sounding 4 tracker to get the dance floor up to cooking temperature and let the dancers simmer for a bit to let that spice mix in with all the sonic flavors provided by the “Underground Traffic EP”.A future retro classic with modern touch!
With The Hidden Beauty Of Dutch House '94-'98, Anacalypto Records dug deep into the electronic archives of The Netherlands. Continuing their audio archaeology, their second release breathes new life into a true gem. Closer is the first and last appearance of Luc Wächerlin aka Luca. Originally released in 1998, the four tracker was one of the final EPs to come out on Orlando Voorn’s ephemeral Slamdunk Records. The twenty-five-year-old press release describes the 12” as a collection of “beautiful, elongated, shimmering, Detroit style trancers for the morning after the night before.” Accurate words. The four works on offer are from the heyday of Techno, where flourishes of Detroit combine with the deeper currents of Sheffield for something energising and immersive. From the liquid synthwork and floating choral lines of the title piece, the listener is bathed in throbbing radiance and warmth. Echoes of “the night before” comes through in “Indian Summer.” A steady kick is the bedrock from which spirals of piano flow, fluid key changes providing a groove that roots this track firmly to the floor. Cascading chords introduce “Ultramarine”, subtle drum patterns giving way to acid scented bass and gentle currents of string. The quartet comes to a close with “Proxima.” Rich textured percussion supports drifting notes and silken chords, a touch of the otherworldly seeping through in tumbling 303 trills. Closer is years beyond its time. Soulful compositions that belong to the burgeoning sound of Techno that was developing across the globe in the 1990s. Four works of beautiful machine music lovingly restored for a new audience.
