UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Rekids Special Projects with Vol. 2 of his ‘Mutated Battle Breaks’ series.Following the acclaimed ‘Funfzig LP’ on Rekids earlier this year, as well as the first volume of ‘Mutated Battle Breaks’, UK stalwart Mark Broom returns to the Rekids universe with another set of eight fully charged techno bombs for Radio Slave’s techno-focussed imprint in ‘Mutated Battle Breaks Vol. 2’.From the punchy stabs of opener ‘Recessive’ through to the deep and bumping ‘Pump’, Broom turns in masterclass in high-energy techno tools. With the quality remaining as consistent as the 4/4 kicks across both sides of the record, ‘Mutated Battle Breaks Vol. 2’ is set to make an appearance in the record bags and USBs of any techno DJs worth their salt worldwide.Releasing on labels such as Rekids, M-Plant, and Blueprint, the wildly prolific Broom has consistently been at the forefront of the techno scene for decades with his gritty, groove-based output while, away from the dancefloor, his The Fear Ratio project with James Ruskin continues to win critical acclaim.
A producer with multiple aliases and projects, the sound wizard behind world recognized mastering studio Jammin Masters and brother of Khan, owner of the legendary New York record store and record label Temple Records. Cem Oral, the aforementioned, raised in Germany by a Turkish father and a Finnish mother, heavily influenced by Jamaican dub and electronic music pioneers, began his career at a tender age playing with four-track recorders and synthesizers, juggling between collaborations with many pop music stars, or as sound-designer of film soundtracks, and in underground solo or group projects, writing some of the most beautiful pages of German and European alternative music in general. At the same time since 1993, he has mastered over forty thousand tracks for countless prominent artists and labels. "Never Been On E" as Oral Experience is definitely an odd release if you know La Bella Di Notte catalog, but probably one of the most representative of his own vision. The reissue comes courtesy of Cem Oral and fully restored by none other than himself.
Long awaited Restoration release!!!On the 25th release of their label Restoration (after 15 years of its foundation), the original trippy“Someone Else” comes with a mesmerising chicagoic heavy shuffled remix by dj Fett Burger. On the B side, the sophisticated beats and the classy arpeggios layered over the gloomy “Amazon Crime”comes together with the first track produced by Francesco del Garda and The Analogue Cops’;“Good Breath” (edited by Del Garda) is the state of the art of years spent behind the decks lookingfor the perfect combination of garage bass lines, eccentric beats and esoteric pads.
