Through the alias Trascend∆nce, coined in 2021, Riccardo Buccirossi obtains an alchemical mixture of techno, electro and acid, which are precisely the strands from which he draws inspiration for the debut album of Havalon Records founded by Alessandro Di Fulvio and Jacopo. In "Formula", a title in line with the alchemical world, he unrolls a red-hot metal spiral on a soft and malleable beat that melts like butter under the desert sun. "Reaction" moves on similar coordinates through TB-303 barbed wire and bleepy squares in the background.

Finally, the left setting of "Creation" is followed by "Havok" which summarizes the Detroit lesson by intertwining it with vibrant and virtuous acid veins.

The very first Zeitnot album, ZEITLP01, comes from American deep techno don Roman Debnar. Having previously released on Zeitnot with the 'Dark Matter EP', Roman is following this up with a wider variety of club oriented sounds on ‘X’.Plate 1 comprises four heavyweight dance tracks, featuring bittersweet rave nostalgia in 'Lightsdown', and the swirling bass swamp of 'Anger Management'.Plate 2 takes a different turn, down the route of trip-hop and downtempo. Reminiscent of old 90's IDM and breakbeat comps, we see Roman building emotive atmospheres out of his love for hip-hop and electronic music. ‘After Dark’ in particular brings to mind early Black Dog , while on 'Flip Mode' we hear influences from across the pond, in the form of jazzy keys and a stoned out vocal sample.
The first vinyl release from s2i Recordings introduces Fader Cap (previously Sedgwick). An existential trip across 3 tracks recorded in one 12 hour session, with the source material written for live-performance in early 2021. Heavy on the 303, with rhythmic propulsion for the breaks-inclined heads. Tinged with heavy nostalgia for the atmosphere of DIY sound systems in the Australian bush.
62*2: Ice crystals decorate the well-worn machines. There's a positive buzz in the air, as construction on the purple plane is progressing smoothly. I'm still getting used to my new form, but I feel like I can be of help.
After shifting clandestinely between second hand crates as a bootleg vinyl for the last 25 years, Eddie Fowlkes’ Deepcover finally gets a proper pressing and 2 remixes by one of today’s most dedicated students of electro funk, OCB (Driss Bennis). Originally released on the Magic Tracks compilation CD by Juan Atkins, featuring tracks by artists like James Stinson and Keith Tucker, the track has all the elements of early techno soul straight from the hands of its inventor. Indescribable sounds combine in unexpected ways that just fit, pushing and pulling in all the right directions.
Mighty fine 90's sounding electronica golden era album, for fans of early Warp, FSOL etc..
Dream Ticket celebrates 10 releases on this planet with a VA matching old label favourites with fresh new blood. Multidisciplinary artist Koolmorf Widesen kicks things off with a madcap acid squirmer that will terrorize your sense of direction as much as it moves your body, before DT stalwart Binary Digit hits us with his latest signature braindance pounder. On the flip, Ryan James Ford, another DT alumni, brings us a techno banger that marries the best of Detroit and Berlin, then newcomer ZDR closes things out with stuttering, dreamy piece of jungly dnb magic. Here’s to the next 10!
