The B is back! Roza Terenzi puts the B in SBC; bounce, bass and.. Boss. Returning with a four track all original EP “Ministry of Wish” the label head is calling on corners of her ever expanding distinctive sound with a sliding scale (etherial to filth) sound bath. Something for every occasion, whether you’re looking to get down and dirty, leave the dancefloor in dust or stargaze via subbass, we got you covered. Recorded between Berlin and Perth, the tracks all signify moments in time that feels like it’s going too fast, an archival stamp on the year 2024; sometimes after a party that lingers with mythical adrenaline, sometimes a personal moment to express reflection.

With the only predictability being Roza’s penchant for Genre Bending, STEP14 sets the tone for the freaky, fabulous year to come of Step Ball Chain in 2025.

Belgian DJ / producer down under Gratts is back with his most intriguing collection of songs to date. Different shades of house music are on offer - always raw, real, and full of personality.‘Off My Feet’ is dedicated to Restless Soul and features Durban force Venessa Jackson on vocals. Adelaide’s Ed Temple destructs, rerubs and transforms it into a sleazy slice of hardware boogie. ‘Smiling’ chronicles hazy London days and nights some 20 odd years ago, brought to life by the illustrious JPHiLo. A track both for club and airwaves use. ‘Better Days’ is a warm and uplifting chunk of balearica, in which Rose ensures us better days are soon upon us (surely), while Belgium’s Steven De bruyn shines on harmonica. The ‘Moody Beatdown Dub’ pulls things firmly into Detroit territory. The EP concludes with title track ‘New Horizons’, an emotional piece that fuses a juicy acid line with the cascading magic of Adelaide pianist (and techno veteran) Antony Coppens.
After a brief hiatus, Lay Down The Groove is thrilled to be back with its 10th release, an EP that captures the essence and evolving spirit of the label. Transcend EP marks the debut production of Palazzo, an Argentinian DJ and now Melbourne-based artist. This five-track release is the result of a deeply personal creative process, reflecting his transition from DJing to music production. Inspired by a broad spectrum of influences, the EP weaves together elements of House, Balearic, Tribal, and Latin rhythms, a rich and textured showcase of Palazzo’s unique musical vision. To round off the release, the EP includes a deep and spacious Dub version of the track “Turquoise”, reimagined by label heads Lay Down The Groove, adding their own signature touch to the project.
When it comes to dark, mesmerizing electronic music steeped in EBM, house, industrial, and electro, few artists delve as deep — or as strangely — as Timothy J Fairplay. A long-time underground stalwart and collaborator with the late Andrew Weatherall, Fairplay has carved out a sound that’s as cinematic as it is menacing. His Melt the Chains EP pulses with slow, chugging rhythms, warped synths, and a kind of psychedelic paranoia that feels tailor-made for shadowy dancefloors and late-night headphone sessions alike.Adding an extra touch to the release is DC Salas, who delivers an extraordinary remix that pushes the EP even further. Injecting his signature blend of sleek groove and cosmic flair, Salas reimagines “Runs Every 15 Minutes” into something both dancefloor-ready and deeply hypnotic — a perfect complement to Fairplay’s noirish sonic world.
We’re proud to present the next release on Evasive Records: a heavyweight repress two-tracker uniting label head honcho Rob Pearson with long-time collaborator Robin Ball (Groove Pleasure / Memory Box).Originally released in 2006 on Robin Ball’s Groove Pleasure imprint (Cat. No. GPL11), ‘Don’t Put Up Wit Dat’ marked the first collaboration between these two respected DJs, producers, and label bosses. With the resurgence of early-2000s tech house and renewed interest in the signature South London sound, original copies of this underground gem have been fetching well over £100 on Discogs. A relentless, driving cut of pure tech house craftsmanship, this one has been in high demand from crate diggers and connoisseurs alike — and now it’s finally back on wax.‘The Right Vibes’, the duo’s second collaboration, followed in 2008. Produced at Evasive Records' South London HQ, Online Studios, it originally appeared on the EVA021 Various Artists EP. Another standout slice of tech house, this track has remained a staple on Discogs want-lists for years — and for good reason. With a rock-solid groove, peak-time floor power, and a breakdown that still delivers nearly two decades later, it's a natural choice for reissue. Both tracks have been lovingly mastered by Marco Pellegrino at Analog Cut (Berlin) from the original Online Studios DAT tapes — sounding every bit as fat, if not fatter, than the original vinyl releases.
