The hand-stamped whitelabel series on Swedish label Aniara continues with a debut by Skudge: bringing a class high energy club workout. On the flip is mainstay Dorisburg with a deep tripper from the vault.
AniaraWL07 links up label mainstays Dorisburg, Efraim Kent, and Arkajo. Side A kicks off with Dorisburg & Efraim Kent's Wired to the Mainframe: a tightly wound, pulse-driven Tech House trip. Followed by X-Files Groove, which strips back the layers and tunnels into a darker, dub-laced transmission. Flip to Side B for Arkajo's two-part Consequence series. Consequence #1 locks you into rolling, UK-inspired rhythms, pushing forward with a warm yet propulsive energy. Consequence #2 turns the screws tighter, upping the BPM and unfolding into a tense, minimal workout where every hit and echo feel essential.
Back on track setting the tone for the new year with the highlyanticipated EP "Speed to Burn" by T.E.C. This sonic journey blazes through a spectrum of tempos and moods, delivering five dynamic tracks that navigate effortlessly from floaty downtempo atmospheres to high-octane peak-time bliss. On the A-side, "Angle Grinder" takes center stage as a club-ready anthem with snappy drums and trippy chords, destined to elevate energy levels.Following suit is "Hi Set & Lo Set," a meditative piece that glides through a serene ambient landscape, offering a mixed excursion of airy textures and subtle dynamics.Flipping to the B-side, "Myriad" goes off with a trippy, pumping jam that’s as captivating as it is infectious. Next up, "7001 On Plastic" kicks in with a fast-forward techy chugger—a proper peak-time weapon designed to ignite the dance floor. Closing out the EP, "Wasp" delivers a phased-out, downtempo voyage that lures listeners into a hypnotic state with its breezy, introspective flow. With "Speed to Burn," T.E.C. delivers a masterclass in versatility, showcasing a rich tapestry of sounds that perfectly encapsulate Serenity Now’s ethos. This EP promises to light up dance floors while offering moments of introspection—an essential addition to any selector's collection.
After their first collaborative effort with Claudio PRC, Artefakt now team up with Maayan Nidam for a second part in their Collaborations series which is focused on live studio improvisations, capturing a raw energy and exploring new musical connections between the artists.
After years of friendship and sound fragmentation, Felipe Valenzuela and Federico Molinari have succeeded in capturing and distilling their unique musical perspective into a single frame.Throughout this process, these two minds from across the Andes have developed numerous productions with a broad, multidirectional genre range. This release features four tracks, each with its own distinct identity. The A1 track, FORCED TO THE SCALES, which lends its name to the EP, blends elements of Spanish classical music with a futuristic edge, seamlessly adapting to various moments within a set.The second track on side A, RAPS TIGHT, is an experiment born from the same session, where a subtle sensitivity is expressed through a a slow beat, enveloped in a harmonious world. On side B, 503 emerges from a different creative process, combining two divergent paths that naturally intersect, resulting in a track full of energy and dynamism. The EP closes with DEAD MAN, a one-shot recording that, through its raw spontaneity, encapsulates the conclusion of a fragmented journey within a frame full of versatility.
Matt Hodgson's 7th Voyage is one of those mid-90s labels that enjoyed cult status almost from the off. Its releases helped to define the sound of the London underground of the time and have since become pricey and sought after. The Return Voyage is a new seven-track collection of back-catalogue gems that pays tribute to the label's fine work. From the deep and atmospheric 'Big Hips Blue Gloves (No Dubs)' by Tactics Of Bass to the squelchy lo-fi hip-hop funk of The Secret Garden's 'Rough Diamond,' this is a vital look back at a hugely influential label.
