The sounds of the past, rebuilt for the present. The Revival EP nods back to late 90s house and tech house: stripped-back, dancefloor-focused grooves with the raw energy and unmistakable character of that time. More than simple emulations, these tracks were specifically engineered to capture the authentic feel, sound and spirit of those records.

For the second edition of ‘City To City’ series we arrive in Lisboa. A city with a rich heritage of electronic music born from a strong affinity to authentic, underground dance culture. Institutions like Lux Fragile have carried the sound of Lisbon since its formative years in the late 90’s. Its long-standing resident DJs now deservedly receiving global recognition and in return, introducing a wider spectrum of appreciation for the sound of the city. Here on ‘City To City’ we introduce six original tracks from seven artists currently making waves in Lisbon.

Originally released in 2005 and now repressed due to high demand, Da Sunlounge's ‘1972' EP remains an underground classic 20 years later. The tracks continue to appear in deep house and tech house DJ charts and influential sets around the world to this day.The track ‘1972' features a tightly crafted groove that blends tech house elements with a gritty, bumping house sound, enhanced by sampled jazz elements.‘Elvis' is a playful, bass-driven deep house track that flows smoothly with rich chords and spoken word samples.'Whore House' is a club-ready banger built around cheeky spoken word samples, gritty hooks, and a funky, bumping

Hidde Van Wee hails from the Netherlands and is an emerging house talent who does it all from electro to minimal, always with a future-facing outlook. After outings on PIV and Heavy House Society, he lands here on Ebullience with four stylish and fresh house sounds. 'Seduction' is sleek and synoptic with cosmic pads and space-tech energy, 'Use Me' layers heartfelt chords onto crispy and softer-edged drums with a balmy mix of bass and pads. The flip brings the bouncy tech of 'Another Day,' and 'Dig This' shuts down with some moody bass but radiant synth smears that hark back to early Gs like Danny Howells.

Unearthing old gems, remastering and bringing them back to the forefront is what Private Parts are up to for release number 07 in the catalog. Original London Tech masters Rob Pearson & Dave Mothersole originally released Wanting You in the early 00’s, but with the extreme prices on Discogs it seemed like the right choice to get this re pressed for your pleasure.Wanting you is everything you ever wanted from those timeless sounds of London Tech. Dubbed out vocals, tribal rhythms, pulsating acid lines and a groove to keep you locked right in.Flipping to the B, and the biggest thank you to Rob himself for spending weeks searching old DAT tapes in his loft to find the original pre master of the driving remix from the late Iteration X. They don’t come more heads down, and hypnotic than this. Throbbing bass stabs, luscious chords and in true Iteration X style, a roller that you could keep you shaking for days on end.It only seems fitting to dedicate this re issue to Simon Copleston, Mr Iteration X.
